As you could have probably guessed by now, I love coming up with planner layouts, especially the themes. Planning is my way of looking at all my to do lists, homework, and obligations of the week in a creative and positive way. I always notice that I feel so much more organized, relaxed, and focused when I have planned out my week ahead of time. I never really strictly plan out each day, just simply write down my obligations such as class, work, meetings, etc and my homework due. This way I can take one look at a day in my planner and know everything I need to accomplish. I also have started planning out my blog posts in my planner so that I can keep up with my posting deadlines and make sure I am always ahead of the game. Planning is my way of de-stressing myself for the upcoming week, start fresh, and set goals.
Where my creativity comes into my planning is through the themes. My themes are usually based on the Erin Condren color layout of the weekly planner spread or on holidays, which are my favorite themes. So naturally, Valentine’s Day has been a pretty exciting spread to plan out. The whole month of February is pink and red in the Erin Condren planner, which fits perfectly with my theme theme for this week, Valentine’s Day, so I was able to really go all out. My favorite part of this spread is the cohesiveness of the color scheme. I love the coordinating washi tape and stickers which really bring this theme to life.
I hope this inspires you to start creative planning.
