Rodeo Drive & Rompers Makeup Look

DSC02191

So after getting a few requests for my makeup look I was wearing in my Rodeo Drive & Rompers post, I thought I’d show you the products I used. This is a pretty simple and easy makeup look that I do often because the orangey gold tones bring out my hazel eyes. I also think this would look really beautiful on blue and brown eyes as well. I hope you enjoy!

Base: For my base I mix a pea sized amount of the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer Protect SPF 30 with 2-3 drops of my Cover FX Custom Cover drops on my fingers and mix them together. What’s nice about the Cover FX drops is that you can customize your coverage based on how your skin looks that day. I usually prefer the light to medium coverage of 2-3 drops. I evenly apply this to my face with my fingers or a foundation brush. Next, I go in with whichever concealer I have been loving under my eyes and tap the cover drop foundation into the areas I need more coverage such as on blemishes, around my nose, and chin because the coverage is so great. If you have dry skin, I don’t recommend this though because the drops on their own can be a bit drying.

Eyes: I used the naked palette for my eyes. I applied half-baked, a shimmery gold, all over my lid and buck, a warm matte brown, in my crease. For more definition I applied laguna bronzer from my Nars blush palette in the crease as well. Next, I applied the MAC’s Mineralized skin finish in Soft and Gentle, for a highlight, on my inner corner and my brow bone. Then I smudged out Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in the color demolition on my lash line and applied Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara on my eyelashes. I finished by applying Maybelline Brow Drama on my eyebrows.

Cheeks: For my cheeks I lightly contoured with Laguna bronzer by Nars. I then applied Dolce Vita blush by Nars to my cheeks and highlighted with MAC’s Mineralized skin finish in Soft and Gentle also. My Nars Guy Bourdin Palette, seen below, unfortunately cannot be purchased anymore but there is an amazing alternative I’ll link to that has the shades I used.

Lips: I finished my whole look with applying MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Quite the Thing on my lips. This is a bright shiny red purplish color that I love because it is funky and a bit different!

Here are all the essential products I used to create this look I hope you enjoy!
