Quick Trip to San Fransisco

San Fransisco is one of those dream cities for me. One of those places that I’ve imagined visiting, exploring, and even living in. It’s a city full of beautiful architecture, quaint neighborhoods, secret coffee spots, and rolling hills. I’ve had a trip to San Fransisco on the books for a while now, but I finally ironed out the kinks and made it happen. Although this had to be a very brief trip, since I’m spending the Summer back east with my family, I have to say, it’s been a busy one.

Getting into the city late Monday night, we began our exploring on Tuesday with a walk through Fort Maison towards Ghirardelli Square. After a bit of exploring, we grabbed lunch at a beautiful little restaurant called Blackpoint cafe. We finished our meal off the tourist way with an ice-cream sundae from Ghirardelli. After exploring the coastline, we hopped in an uber with our sights set on Union street for some window shopping and exploring. We eventually made it down to Chestnut street where I snagged an eyebrow appointment at Benefit in honor of being in their headquarters of San Fransisco. We wrapped up the day with a trip to the gym and some delicious burritos from Tacko, a quirky Nantucket themed restaurant that serves great Mexian food.

Our Wednesday included significantly more exploring. We took a long driving tour throughout the city past the Golden Gate Bridge, through its park, and around the many adorable neighborhoods in the city. I have to say that the architecture here in San Fransisco reminds me a lot of home, Charleston, SC. I really love the narrow townhouse styles that are found all over both cities. After grabbing a quick bit for lunch, we ended up making our way to Smitten for some incredible ice-cream. This little ice-cream shop is particularly unique because they make each person’s ice-cream individually for them from scratch! They freeze the ice-cream right in front of you with liquid nitrogen creating the most wonderfully creamy, rich flavors. Then we popped over to Chantal Guillon for some macaroons because, as you might see, I have quite a sweet tooth. Currently, I’ve come home for a little nap and some decompression time before we head out on the town again for dinner! I’ll leave my outfit details at the bottom and let me know if you like these travel posts in the comments below.
