New Loves from MAC

I have been really loving MAC recently. I don’t know whether I am embracing the makeup classics again, or simply on a MAC kick, but haven’t been able to put their products down. Recently, I did a big MAC haul (coming soon), bigger than I care to admit, but from it, I found some true staples.

MAC Pro Longwear Waterproof Color Sticks – Cream shadow is definitely one of my favorite formulas for quick and easy eye makeup application. It’s a perfect swipe on, blend, and go product that adds definition and drama without time-consuming layering and blending. Previously, I’ve tried and loved the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color (cream eyeshadow collection here), so playing around with a different formula from one of my favorite brands seamed like a no-brainer. I picked up the shade Sand Bar a matte mid-tone warm caramel brown that’s great for slapping on the lid for a natural look with a bit of definition. It’s also great as a crease shade with either powder or cream shadows layered on top of it. The other shade I picked up is At the Beach, a shimmery peachy, nude, champagne color. This is great as an all over lid color and looks beautiful layered over Sand Bar. The formula of these shadow sticks are longwearing as their name suggests and they don’t crease easily, especially with a primer. They are nice and bendable, similar to the MAC paint pots, and also set down to a budge-proof finish. I’ve really been enjoying these cream shadows for an easy and natural Summer makeup look.

MAC Creamsheen + Pearl Lipstick in Shanghai Spice – I love MAC lipsticks. I have a growing collection of about ten now in all different shades and finishes. This lipstick is the creamsheen formula, one of my favorites, because it is pigmented but also has a rich and creamy finish with a light sheen. This particular shade is a browny, pinky, peachy, nude that’s easy to wear. On me, it’s one of those “my lips but better” shades that I can throw in my handbag for an easy on-the-go lip color. The MAC lipsticks are great quality and smell like brown sugar and vanilla, which I love. They are one of those lipstick formulas and brands that I come back to over and over again.

Check back in soon for the rest of my MAC Haul!
