My Summer Bronzy Go-To Makeup Look

SummerBronzeGoToMakeupLook-9552

Summer is definitely a time for tan skin, lightweight makeup, and a healthy glow. Recently when I’ve been out and about in the heat and humidity, I’ve been reaching for some specific products over and over again to give me the natural look with long wearing formulas. Being Summer, my favorite color palette to choose from has definitely been bronze. I love these shades because they naturally accentuate your features and don’t compete with light makeup by adding too much drama . When going for natural skin in the Summer, I like to keep my base products to a minimum. I gravitate to a more lightweight and liquidy foundation, like the Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet, which also has a matte finish to combat oily and sweaty skin. Then I use a concealer to add extra coverage on any redness and blemishes, keeping in mind that I’m not looking for a perfect finish. I’ve been loving the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer for its weightless coverage that looks great all over the face. I usually pop a bit of corrector under my eyes for any makeup look, but this is totally optional. In the Summer, I enjoy the Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector. To keep my makeup looking bronzed with a long wearing finish, I have been loving the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour. The gel-like formula sits really lightly on the skin, but packs a big punch in terms of color payoff. Its great for both contouring or bronzing all over the face. Because I have pretty oily skin, I like to set my entire base with Mac Mineralized Skin Finish natural powder. To frame my face, I’ll use the Soap & Glory Archery 2-n-1 Crayon Gel to fill in my eyebrows. I like this product because it has both a pencil and a setting gel in one! Lastly, I’ll chose some beautiful bronzy hues for my eyes. Recently, I’ve rediscovered the good old Urban Decay Naked palette. This is such an oldie but a goodie product that perfectly combines great shades with amazing quality. This palette has been my all time most recommended makeup product, especially for beginners. That’s a pretty good summary of everything that I’ve been reaching for on a daily basis this Summer. I’ve absolutely been loving this makeup look because it’s so comfortable to wear and it’s really quick and easy to apply! Let me know what your favorite Summer product is in the comments below.
