These lip paints are L’Oreal’s response to the liquid lipstick craze and I have to say, I love them! L’Oreal is one of my favorite drugstore brands, so naturally when they released these little wonders, I had to get my hands on them. Out of all the drugstore makeup I’ve tried, I’d say that lip products are always some of the best releases. I’ve found so many amazing formulas from the drugstore that easily make their way into my every day makeup bag. After testing these lip paints out for two weeks now, I thought that I’d give you guys a proper review.
One of my favorite features of these lip paints has to be the formula. The fact that L’Oreal has released a beautifully pigmented, long wearing, but creamy and comfortable alternative to the drying formula of the traditional liquid lipsticks is amazing. Regardless, I would definitely consider these products liquid lipsticks. They deliver bold color in a long lasting formula, but are much better than other more drying formulas because they are so comfortable to wear.
These lip paints have a thicker texture, but it’s not heavy or uncomfortable. You can’t even tell you’re wearing them after a few minutes. They also last amazingly well, better than a traditional lipstick but they do wear a bit more than a matte liquid lipstick. The product doesn’t smudge or smear around the lips, but stays in place for hours at a time. The finish is glossy and makes your lips look full and plump. I’m just obsessed with the formula of these lip paints!
The Color Selection
Just incredible. The fact that a drugstore brand has released such an extensive color range is really amazing. The range contains both wearable and more dramatic daring shades, uncommon for the drugstore. The collection includes a navy blue, turquoise, coral, orange, red, burgundy, three purple hues including a lavender (pictured above), and a bunch more wearable nude and pink shades. The range has enough colors to bridge seasons, so you can rock your favorite lip trend all year round. As to be expected from the name lip paint, the pigmentation is out of this world. Each color is incredibly bold and bright, with the exception of Nude Star, which is a more subtle natural tone, perfect for a neutral look. If you’re looking to go bold on the lips, these are the way to go. L’Oreal delivered bold color in such a comfortable formula, making these lip paints a dream come true.
The colors of the L’Oreal Lip Paints I picked up were Wild Rose (bright pink shade), Lilac Lust (lavender shade), DIY Red (bold red shade), Nude Star (neutral rosey nude shade), Cool Coral (bright orange shade), and Sultry Sangria (deep burgundy wine shade). My favorites so far are Nude Star because it’s a perfect day to day nude shade, DIY Red because I love my bold bright reds, especially in a long wearing formula, and Sultry Sangria because deep berry shades are some of my favorite colors in general!
I really hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments below if you’ve tried out any of these products! I’d love to hear your thoughts and which color is your favorite.
