February was a crazy, exciting, awesome month and although I’m a bit sad to see it go, March is my birthday month, so I’m still pretty pumped. This last month was a pretty jam packed beauty month for me. I finally was able to get my hands on the majority of my makeup collection, which has been amazing after spending the last five months living out of a travel makeup bag (actually terrible). Having my makeup collection at my disposal has really reved up my creativity and has reignited my love with makeup. So let’s get on to my favorite products that I couldn’t get enough of these last few weeks.
St Tropez Express Advanced Bronzing Mouse ($44): For the longest time, I wasn’t a huge fake tan lover. I always thought the process was too intensive and the tan never lasted long enough to be worth the effort. But I did have a few special events during February that I wanted to look my best at, so I decided to give the St. Tropez Advanced tanning mouse a try. This is a fast acting bronzing mouse that gives amazing color and results in as short as one to three hours! Basically, I fell in love with my healthy, glowy, bronzed skin, a look I never thought possible for February. I haven’t been able to stop applying this! It’s become part of my Sunday ritual and something I don’t imagine giving up anytime soon.
Smith’s Rosebud Salve ($6): This has been a longtime love for me. I’ve been using this salve for years as a lip balm, a chapped nose soother, and more. I like to keep this little tub next to my bed to ward off dry winter lips, so I thought I’d give this forgotten favorite a quick shoutout. This little guy is really inexpensive and a totally amazing product.
Tanya Burr Face Illuminizer ($10): I picked up this product when I was visiting London this Fall, along with many other products in Tanya’s range (blog post here!) Recently, with my newly (fake) tanned skin, I’ve loved mixing this illuminizer in with my primer. This product gives my skin such a warm healthy glow that looks beautiful under foundation. Since it’s a warm champagne color, it looks good on so many people, especially on bronzed Summer skin. I’d say this is a holiday or Spring break must have!
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick ($46): You may be seeing a beauty trend here; all of my favorites have to do with tanned skin and this is no exception. I had forgotten how much I love these Bobbi Brown Stick foundations! They give flawless coverage with such a natural skin-like finish. They are great for getting an everyday natural look, but can be built up to full coverage easily. Plus, the look great in photos, so maybe throw this in your travel makeup bag too!
Serious Volume Mascara Duo – Tarte Lights Camera Lashes ($21) & L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes ($8.99): I’ve loved this Tarte mascara for years, but recently I’ve discovered a true power couple that delivers serious volume. I like working the Tarte mascara through my lashes, really focusing on the base to pump up the volume. To reduce clumping, I then like to use the L’Oreal Million Lashes to add some definition by separating the lashes without losing any volume. This creates such an awesome look for statement lashes that I’ve been loving this past month.
NYX Away We Glow in Crystal Glare ($6.99): This is another liquid highlighter that has been a staple in my makeup routine. I love throwing this little guy on the top of my cheekbones after I conceal and before I powder. The color is just so natural and warm, a perfect transition into spring shade. Plus, it doesn’t disturb my foundation underneath it when you blend it out.
Benefit Hole Bronzer ($29): This is another rediscovery for me. I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve reached for this bronzer and I forgot how amazing it is. The color is right on, perfect for adding warmth to your complexion. Plus it’s matte which is my personal preference for bronzers. I like applying this all over the face with a huge fluffy brush or throwing it on the eyes (in my crease) for a little natural definition.
Fresh Juice: Starting my morning with a fresh juice has been one of my favorite routines over the past month. I’ve recently got my hands on a juicer and have been obsessed with it! I love creating little veggie and fruit concoctions to give a healthy kick start to my mornings. I’ve got my favorite juice recipe coming soon, so keep a look out!
February was such a great beauty month for me! I have been completely re-inspired by makeup and have had so much fun experimenting with new looks and playing around with old favorites. I adore each and every product I mentioned, so definitely check some of these out if you’re looking to refresh your makeup bag for Spring. Let me know what’s your favorite product right now!
